Pre-Planning For Red Ribbon Week
- Poster Contest hosted by NJHS
Monday (Theme: “Put A Cap On Drugs!”)
- Morning announcements will explain the theme of the day: “Put A Cap On Drugs!”
- Students and staff may wear hats or fun headwear.
- Slides about “What Is Red Ribbon Week” will be shown during advisory.
- All students and staff will receive a red ribbon with the Red Ribbon Week theme.
- Photos will be taken of students and staff.
Tuesday (Theme: “Show Your Character! Be Drug Free!”)
- Morning announcements will explain the theme for the day: “Show Your Character. Be Drug Free!”
- Students and staff may wear school appropriate costumes. (No hand-held accessories allowed, no full or partial face masks allowed, and costume must meet dress code requirements.)
- There will be a Fentanyl Awareness PowerPoint shown to students.
- Photos will be taken of students and staff.
Wednesday (Theme: “Put Drugs In The Past!”)
- Morning announcements will explain the theme of the day: “Put Drugs In The Past!”
- Students will read the “True Stories” handout during advisory.
- Students and staff may wear clothes from the 1950’s – 2000’s.
- Photos will be taken of students and staff.
Thursday (Theme: “Put Down Roots. Say No To Drugs!”)
- Morning announcements will explain the theme of the day, “Put Down Roots. Say No To Drugs!”
- Students and staff may wear clothes that represent their culture. Example: African, Asian, Indian, etc.
- Students will sign the Drug Free Pledge during advisory.
- Photos will be taken of students and staff.
Friday (Theme: “Drugs Will Crush Your Dreams!”)
- Morning announcements will explain the theme of the day, “Drugs Will Crush Your Dreams!”
- Announcement will be made of the Post Contest winner.
- Students will read the “Heroine” Fact Sheet during advisory.
- Students and staff may wear school appropriate pajamas and robes.
- Photos will be taken of students and staff.
