    October  (Drug Prevention/Education: Boys and Girls Club Presentations)

    • “Dangers of Vaping – All 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes.
    • “Refusal Skills” – All K, 1st, and 2nd grade classes.

     

    Monday  (Theme: “Be Kind To Your Mind: Always Be RED-Y To Make Healthy Choices!”)

    • Students and staff may wear lots of red to kickoff Red Ribbon Week.
    • Morning announcements will be given by the Leadership Kids on the History of Red Ribbon Week. 
    • All students and staff will receive a numbered Red Ribbon today. Prizes will be given if your number is drawn. You must have a Red Ribbon to win.

     

    Tuesday  (Theme: “Be Kind To Your Mind: Drop Everything And Read!”)

    • Students and staff may dress as your favorite storybook character.
    • At a designated time, the entire school will drop everything and read silently for 15 minutes.
    • Before the timer starts, there will be an announcement about practicing healthy habits to enrich your mind.
    • All students and staff received a numbered Red Ribbon on Monday. Prizes will be given if your number is drawn today. You must have a Red Ribbon to win.

     

    Wednesday  (Theme: “Be Kind To Your Mind: Get Plenty Of Sleep Every Night!”)

    • Students and staff may wear school appropriate PJ’s.
    • At a designated time, the entire school will drop everything and have a 15-minute nap.
    • Before the timer starts, there will be an announcement about healthy sleep habits.
    • All students and staff received a numbered Red Ribbon on Monday. Prizes will be given if your number is drawn today. You must have a Red Ribbon to win.

     

    Thursday  (Theme: “Be Kind To Your Mind: Take A Vacation!”)

    • Students and staff may dress in your favorite vacation outfit. 
    • At a designated time, the entire school will drop everything and spend 15 minutes drawing or writing about their idea of the perfect vacation.
    • All students and staff received a numbered Red Ribbon on Monday. Prizes will be given if your number is drawn today. You must have a Red Ribbon to win.

     

    Friday  (Theme: “Be Kind To Your Mind: Get Plenty Of Exercise!”)

    • Students and staff may wear their workout clothes. 
    • There will be a Walk-A-Thon Class Competition during the student’s PE time.
    • The class with the highest (average) number of laps wins a prize.
