  • Governor Abbott Calls for Moment of Silence To Honor Victims of Santa Fe High School Shooting

Governor Greg Abbott issued today a statewide call for Texans to take part in a moment of silence at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 21, 2018, to honor the memory of the victims of the Santa Fe High School shooting. At the request of the governor, BISD did observe a moment of silence today. However, out of respect for our students and families, the District did not discuss the events of Santa Fe High School. We left that discussion for parents to have with their child(ren).
