    Red Ribbon Week Activities - October 23-29, 2021

    Monday (Theme: “You Will Go Places If You Stay Drug Free!”/Tacky Tourist Day)

    • Information will be shared on the announcements about Red Ribbon Week theme.
    • Pledges for the scholars will be given to teachers. The signed pledges will be given to the counselors for the PTA RRW volunteers to hang up.
    • All scholars and staff will receive a numbered red ribbon from the district. Each day during the announcements five numbers will be called and students wearing ribbons with those numbers will receive a prize.
    • A jar of red items will be shown on the announcements (and possibly in the lunchroom or library). Classes will submit a guess on how many items are in the jar each day. The closest guess without going over the number will win the jar on Friday.
    • There will be a post about RRW on GVE Facebook page.

     

    Tuesday (Theme: “We Are Too Bright For Drugs!”/Neon Day)

    • Information will be shared on the announcements about the Red Ribbon Week theme.
    • During the announcements there will be drawings for five students who are wearing their red ribbons.
    • Scholars will continue sending class guesses for the jar.
    • There will be pictures of scholars and staff that participated in Monday’s dress up day.
    • There will be a post about RRW on GVE Facebook page.

     

    Wednesday (Theme: “Wear Red On Wednesday!”/National Wear Red Day)

    • Information will be shared on the announcements about the Red Ribbon Week theme.
    • There will be a virtual speaker and a post about RRW on GVE Facebook page.
    • There will be a drawing for five students wearing their red ribbons during the announcements.
    • Scholars will continue sending class guesses for the jar.
    • There will be pictures of scholars and staff that participated in Tuesday’s dress up day.

     

    Thursday (Theme: “Give Drugs The Boot!”/Western Wear Day)

    • Information will be shared on the announcements about the Red Ribbon Week theme.
    • There will be a drawing for five students wearing their red ribbons during the announcements.
    • Scholars will continue sending class guesses for the jar.
    • There will be pictures of scholars and staff that participated in Wednesday’s dress up day.
    • There will be a post about RRW on GVE Facebook page.

     

    Friday (Theme: “We Go By The BOOK & Stay Drug Free!”/Show Your CHARACTER Day)

    • Information will be shared on the announcements about the Red Ribbon Week theme.
    • There will be a drawing for five students wearing their red ribbons during the announcements.
    • The winner of the jar of red items will be announced and they will receive their prize.
    • There will be pictures of scholars and staff that participated in Thursday’s dress up day.
    • There will be a post about RRW on GVE Facebook page.

    New to Green Valley Elementary or BISD? 

    Complete New Student Online Registration on Family Access website.

    Be prepared to upload your required documents:  

    • Birth Certificate
    • Immunization Record
    • Social Security Card
    • Proof of Residence
    • Parent/Guardian ID

    If you are not able to upload these items you will need to contact the campus so we can set an appointment for you to bring them to campus (817) 547-3400.  

    *All scholars must have complete registration before they can be placed on a class roster.
