    College-Based Scholarships

Colleges are the number one source for scholarships so check with the colleges to which you are applying for scholarship opportunities.

    • Academic & Merit Scholarships: These scholarships award students based on academic performance. It may be academic, leadership, or artistic. Financial need may or may not be considered. Check the college website for scholarship applications.
    • Departmental Awards: Some departments offer awards to students who show promise and achievement in one of their majors. Call the Dean's office in your area of study.
    • Athletic Scholarships: This is the main way colleges attract top athletes. You can receive anything from a small award to a full ride. Your coach is able to give you information on this.
