    Monday  (Theme: “Get RED-Y For Your Journey!”)

      • Students and staff may wear red to show their spirit.
      • Students will get a “boarding pass” (i.e. their Red Ribbon) which will accompany them throughout the week. Those with the ribbon at the end of the week will be entered into a drawing for a prize.
      • Theme will be presented during morning announcements. Morning announcements will also include the history of Red Ribbon Week.
      • Students will view Haltom High School’s “High on Life” video #1.
      • Banner with slogan “Celebrate Life. Live Drug Free!” will be placed in the hallway. Students will sign the banner throughout the week to pledge to be drug free.
      • Halls will be decorated with themed banners and posters created by the student leadership team.
      • During PE time, Alliance for Children will present NetSmartz (Internet Safety).

     

    Tuesday  (Theme: “It’s A Jungle Out There! Choose Your Path Wisely!”/Going On A Jungle Safari!)

      • Students and staff may wear safari outfit or dress like a safari animal.
      • Morning announcements will be given about this year’s theme.
      • Students will view Haltom High School’s “High on Life” video #2.
      • All students will receive activity and coloring pages.
      • During PE time, Alliance for Children will present NetSmartz (Internet Safety).

     

    Wednesday  (Theme: “Cruising Through Life Drug Free!”/Cruising To The Caribbean!)

      • Students and staff may dress like a tacky tourist.
      • Morning announcements will be given about this year’s theme.
      • Students will view Haltom High School’s “High on Life” video #3.
      • All students will receive a pencil with “Celebrate Life. Live Drug Free!” on it.

     

    Thursday  (Theme: “Saddle Up And Lasso Your Dreams!”/Heading To The Stockyards – It’s Rodeo Time!)

      • Students and staff may wear their best country western attire.
      • Morning announcements will be given about this year’s theme.
      • Students will view Haltom High School’s “High on Life” video #4.
      • Each grade level will receive a student pledge and a parent pledge to sign.
      • Students will receive a temporary tattoo with this year’s theme.

     

    Friday  (Theme: “Dreams Come True When You Live Drug Free!”/Last Stop-A Journey To Disney!)

      • Students may dress for a Disney vacation or be a Disney character.
      • Morning announcements will be given about this year’s theme.
      • Students will view Haltom High School’s “High on Life” video #5.
      • Students with their ribbons at the end of the week will be entered in a drawing for “It’s Cool To Be Bully And Drug Free!” sunglasses, with 1-2 winners per grade level.
