    Monday  (Theme: “Be Mindful!”/Wear Hat Day)

    • Students and staff may wear a hat.
    • Theme will be presented during morning announcements. Morning announcements will also include the history of Red Ribbon Week.
    • Students will view Haltom High School’s “High on Life” video #1.
    • Banner with slogan “Be Happy, Be Brave, Be Drug Free.” will be placed in the hallway. Students will sign the banner throughout the week to pledge to be drug free.
    • Halls will be decorated with themed banners and posters created by the student leadership team.
    • Students will be given Red Ribbon Week coloring pages.
    • All students will receive a red ribbon.

     

    Tuesday  (Theme: “Be Happy!”/Wear Bright/Neon Colors)

    • Students and staff may wear bright neon colored clothing.
    • Morning announcements will be given about this year’s theme.
    • Students will view Haltom High School’s “High on Life” video #2.
    • All students will receive a “Good Character, Good Choices!” theme bracelet.

     

    Wednesday  (Theme: “Be Kind!”/Wear Red Day)

    • Students and staff may wear red from head to toe.
    • Morning announcements will be given about this year’s theme.
    • Students will view Haltom High School’s “High on Life” video #3.
    • Teachers will take a picture of their class wearing red, as well as the student wearing the most red. Pictures will be emailed to Mrs. Shabay by 10:00 a.m. The students wearing the most red in their class will be sent to the counselors and receive a reward.
    • During gym time, Alliance for Children will present NetSmartz (Internet Safety) to grades 1, 3, & 5.

     

    Thursday  (Theme: “Be Brave!”/Superhero/Military Day)

    • Students and staff may wear superhero or military clothing.
    • Morning announcements will be given about this year’s theme.
    • Students will view Haltom High School’s “High on Life” video #4.
    • Each grade-level will receive a student pledge and a parent pledge to sign.
    • Each student will receive a “Hero” themed sticker.
    • During gym time, Alliance for Children will present NetSmartz (Internet Safety) to grades 1, 3, & 5.

     

    Friday  (Theme: “Be The Best BOBCAT You Can Be!”/School Spirit Day)

    • Students may wear any Binion shirt or maroon and white.
    • Morning announcements will be given about this year’s theme.
    • Students will view Haltom High School’s “High on Life” video #5.
    • Teachers will take a picture of the students in their class wearing a Binion shirt or maroon and white. Pictures will be emailed to Mrs. Shabay by 10:00 a.m. The top three classes with the most school spirit wear will have an ice cream sandwich party.
