    Monday  (Theme: Decoration Day/Wear Red Day)

    • Red ribbons will be distributed to all students and staff to wear all week.
    • Second grade students and PTA volunteers will decorate school grounds with red ribbons and other decorations.
    • A guessing/counting activity will begin for all students to show that we can “count on” them to stay drug free.
    • Students and staff are encouraged to wear red from head to toe.
    • Fifth grade and kindergarten students will participate in a cooperative activity as a pledge to each other that they will stay drug free. 
    • Anti-drug messages will be presented on the morning announcements.

    Tuesday  (Theme: “BE HAPPY!”/Reach Out Day)

    • Students and staff are going to have happy feet and “Sock It To Drugs!”
    • Everyone may wear crazy socks.
    • Fourth grade students will write a letter to a student from another school emphasizing the dangers of drug use and their choice to stay drug free.
    • First and third grade students will color encouraging drug-free pictures to be displayed at area businesses or school.
    • Digital newsletter including anti-drug information has been sent to parents.
    • Anti-drug messages will be presented on the morning announcements.

    Wednesday  (Theme: “BE BRAVE!”/Pledge Day)

    • It is easier to be brave if you are part of a team. Let’s “Team Up Against Drugs!”
    • Everyone may wear their favorite team shirt or jersey.
    • The Red Ribbon Pledge will be read over morning announcements and recited by students.
    • All students will sign a class pledge to stay drug free. These pledges will be displayed in the school hallways.
    • Anti-drug messages will be presented on the morning announcements.

    Thursday  (Theme: “Be Drug Free!”)

    • All students will participate in the annual “Twist and Shout Drugs Are Out!” and they may dress in 1950s attire.
    • Pictures will be taken to recognize those who participated.
    • Anti-drug messages will be presented on the morning announcements.

    Friday  (Theme: “Hats Off To A Drug Free Life!”)

    • Students in grades 1–5 will wear/bring their science hats for a special parade.
    • Anti-drug messages will be presented on the morning announcements.
    • The winner of the “Count On Me” guessing activity will be announced.
