    Monday  (Theme: “Be Mindful! Don’t Think About Doing Drugs!”/Wear A Hat or Headband Day)

    • Red Ribbon Week flyer will be sent via Blackboard to parents on Friday, October 23, 2020.
    • Red Ribbon Week theme message will be posted on school marquee for the community.
    • Red Ribbon Week post will be on school Facebook page.
    • Morning announcements will be about this year’s theme.
    • Students and staff will receive red ribbons to wear all week.
    • Students and staff may wear a hat or headband.
    • Students will view Haltom High School’s High on Life video #1.
    • Red Ribbon Week-themed banner will be in cafeteria for students to sign during the week. (Both physical and digital are available.)     
    • Jar full of red items will be displayed in the library. Students may guess the amount of items. The closest guess gets the jar of items to share with his/her class on Friday.

    Tuesday  (Theme: “Be Brave! Be A Buddy, Not A Bully!”/Red, White & Blue Day or DES T-shirt)    

    • Morning announcements will be about this year’s theme.
    • Students will view Haltom High School’s High on Life video #2.
    • Students and staff may wear red, white, and blue or DES T-shirt.
    • Students will complete individual coloring page or word search.

    Wednesday  (Theme: “Be Kind And RED’Y To Live A Drug-Free Life.”/Wear Red Day)

    • Morning announcements will be about this year’s theme.
    • Students will view Haltom High School’s High on Life video #3.
    • Students and staff may wear red from head to toe.
    • Teachers will email Mrs. Jones the name of the student wearing the most red by 10:00 a.m. Students wearing the most red in their class will be sent to the counselor’s office and receive a reward.
    • Student Challenge: Use kind words and give five (5) compliments to others during the day.

    Thursday  (Theme: “Be Happy And Tie Up Drugs!”/Tie-Dye Day)

    • Morning announcements will be about this year’s theme.
    • Red Ribbon Week Pledge will be read during morning announcements.
    • Students will sign Red Ribbon Week Pledge.
    • Students will view Haltom High School’s High on Life video #4.
    • Students and staff may wear tie-dye attire.

    Friday  (Theme: “Who Do You Want To Be? A Drug-Free Me!”/Book Character, Superheroes, or Community Helpers Day)

    • Morning announcements will be about this year’s theme.
    • Students will view Haltom High School’s High on Life video #5.
    • Students and staff may dress up as a book character, superhero or community helper. (No props or play weapons allowed. Bring tennis shoes for gym.)
    • Red Ribbon Week post will be on school Facebook page.
    • Teachers will email Mrs. Jones the number of students dressed up as a book character, superhero, or community helper in their class by 10:00 a.m. The top three classes with the most students dressed up will receive an ice-cream sandwich party.
    • The winner of the red item jar will be announced.
