    State Farm Insurance

    Ricardo Rivera, State Farm Insurance, was recognized as an active business partner with Stowe Elementary. He has provided food and other items for teachers and staff and has contributed to beautification projects on the campus. 

Summary of Actions

  • Approved the donation from: 

    • Birdville Education Foundation to BISD; and 

    • Green Valley Elementary PTA to Green Valley Elementary. 

    Approved the 2022–23 District Improvement Plan Goals and Objectives.

    Approved the Construction Manager-at-Risk (CMAR) project delivery method for construction projects. 

    Approved the TEA Waiver for Remote Homebound Instruction.  

    Approved the Foreign Exchange Student Waiver limiting the number to no more than five students per high school campus. 

    Approved budget amendments.

Bids/Contracts/Final Payments Awarded

  • Approved the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Energy Cooperative Interlocal Agreement and Board Resolution.  

    Approved the Interlocal Agreement for asphaltic overlay of the existing asphaltic play area at Green Valley Elementary from Tarrant County Precinct 3. 

    Approved the parking lot use agreement with Friendly Lane Baptist Church for a 25-year term. 

    Approved the bid/purchase for:  

    • Fuel from TASB Energy Cooperative. 

    Approved the contract for: 

    • Special education services from Merakey. 

    Approved the final payment to: 

    • Gliden Industries, LLC for the modular classroom complex at the Academy at C.F. Thomas.
