    Birdville ISD is the fifth-largest school district in Northeast Tarrant County, with 33 campuses, and serves a growing population of more than 120,000 residents. BISD serves Richland Hills and parts of Colleyville, Fort Worth, Haltom City, Hurst, North Richland Hills and Watauga.

    The district employs more than 3,300 people. Approximately 28 percent hold a master's or doctorate degree, and all teachers meet “Highly Qualified”under No Child Left Behind (NCLB).

    The teacher pay scale ranges from $53,000 for beginning teachers with a bachelor’s degree to $64,361 maximum with a master’s degree.
