BISD staff recognizes outstanding Partners In Education every month during board meetings.
Board Recognition of Partners
Birdville Baptist Church in Haltom Church in Haltom City was recognized for its support of Birdville Elementary School. The church provides school supplies for students, classroom supplies for teachers and mentors, facilitates weekend backpack with food, and so much more.
The Hills Church in North Richland Hills was recognized for their support of North Oaks Middle School. The Hills Church provides backpacks every Friday with food for needy students. The backpacks contain at least two meals to eat per day over the weekend.
Dunkin’ Donuts and Nathan Pressler were recognized for their support of Green Valley Elementary. Each six weeks, they provide breakfast for the GATOR GREATS breakfast, as well as support for other scholar, staff and family events.
NRH20 and Stephanie Hee-Johnston were recognized for their support of Birdville ISD and the Birdville Council of PTAs Clothes Connection and Supply Depot. NRH20 has an annual school supply and shoe drive to support the Clothes Connection and Supply Depot to help families in need. The staff also provides educational classes across the District.
Unity One Credit Union and Miriam Carillo and Blanca Gomez were recognized for their support of the Birdville Center of Technology and Advanced Learning. They provide paid interships for BISD students, as well as financial literacy programs for students, and professional learning for staff.
Reverend Dara Austin and White's Chapel United Methodist Church of Southlake were recognized for their support of Stowe Elementary. The church regularly provides resources for families and staff throughout the school year.
Esmi Martinez, JT Thomas, Halie Martinez, William Martinez and Weslie Martinez with Giving Christmas were recognized for their support of Birdville ISD and West Birdville, Smith and Francisco elementary schools.
Chuck Howard and Tonya Meyer with Chick-fil-A on Boulevard 26 and Precinct Line were recognized for their support of the students and staff of Birdville High School.
Rev. Mike and Cheryl Kerzee with Smithfield United Methodist Church were recognized for their support of Smithfield Elementary. The church provides mentors and volunteers to the school. In addition, they recently paid off all overdue lunch account balances for the students.
Birdville Council of PTAs 2018–19 President Lauren Althoff, First Vice President/Volunteer Coordinator Tami Copeland (not pictured), Fifth Vice President–Clothes Connection Becky Bolstad, and Sixth Vice President–Supply Depot Cathy Langston were recognized for their outstanding leadership of the Birdville Council of PTAs, Volunteer Partnership, Clothes Connection and Supply Depot.
