    Recognized the Birdville High School boys basketball team for making it to the UIL State Finals. Team highlights include:

    BHS Cheer Team

    Recognized the Birdville High School cheer team for placing third at the UIL State Spirit competition. Seventy-four teams from across the state competed in the preliminary round of the 5A Division 1 category. BHS cheer advanced to the final round, ultimately winning third place.

Summary of Actions

  • Approved donations from:  

    • Birdville Choir Boosters, Inc. to Smithfield Middle School; and
    • Daren Daugherty to BCTAL Auto Technology program. 

    Approved changing the Collegiate Academy of Birdville (CAB) from a school-within-a-school model to a stand-alone model where students will be housed and attend all their classes at the Tarrant County College Northeast campus.

  • Approved the bids/purchases for: 

    • Advanced Placement® (AP) tests from College Board. 

    Approved the lease of: (Funds come from Bond 2022 funds) 

    • Lit fiber wide area network (WAN) from Zayo Group, LLC. 

    Approved the contract for: 

    • Property management with CBRE. 

    Approved the interlocal agreement with Tarrant County Precinct 3 for asphaltic overlay to existing asphaltic play areas at Hardeman, Holiday Heights and Porter elementary schools.   

    Approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price Agreement with Lee Lewis Construction, Inc. for work on Building One at the Birdville Administrative Complex.
