The Community Enrichment Center (CEC) and Tarrant Area Food Bank to provide groceries for families

Beginning Thursday, March 19, the Community Enrichment Center and Tarrant Area Food Bank will provide groceries to families at various BISD feeding stations. Groceries will be distributed at the same time meals are being distributed by BISD. Groceries will be distributed on the following schedule:

Thursday, March 19:  West Birdville Elementary

Friday, March 20:  Birdville Elementary

Starting the week of March 23:

  • Binion Elementary – Mondays
  • Watauga Elementary – Tuesdays

Four to six volunteers are needed each day to help families complete a short questionnaire and load groceries in vehicles. Children, individuals over age 60, or individuals with underlying health conditions should not volunteer. Individuals should be prepared to follow safety precautions as directed by the CDC. Once details on how to volunteer are finalized with the CEC, they will be posted on this site.
