  • This is my fouth year at Birdville High School, and I'm so blessed to be part of the Hawk family. Before moving to Texas,  I was a professional school counselor in Michigan. I've also worked with special education children and as an admissions counselor at Davenport University. I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degree from Eastern Michigan University. I love my profession and helping students find what makes their heart go pitter-patter as they transition from high school to what's next- work, military, or college/university.
One of my favorite quotes, "be the change you wish to see in the world" holds deep meaning to me.  Every single day we have the power to make a difference in the lives of students, parents, and families. I want to instill passion, compassion, kindness, love, generosity, and help students find their place in our world and be change agents. It takes a village and I am blessed beyond measure to be your child's counselor.
Together with my husband, Karl, we parent five children.: Audrey, an artist and professor at Texas Christian Univesity; Madelene a recent graduate from Colorado College and currently in her PHd program at UNC; Jacob, a recent graduate from Michigan State University and accepted a position with a company in Chicago; Rachel, a junior at Florida Atlantic University; and Ian, a junior at Paschal High School.
I love spending time with my family, reading, running, cycling, and traveling!
    Words to live by:
Be happy; live life on purpose; dream big; wake up and be awesome; enjoy the journey; travel often; shine bright; be fearless; show gratitude; and be present.
