The energy was electric at convocation on Thursday, August 7!

The Thomas Coliseum was filled with the entire BISD team, as teachers, staff and faculty from across the district came together as one. The ceremony marked the official start of the 2025-2026 school year, with the first day of school for students on Wednesday, August 13.

Convocation included remarks from BISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Gayle Stinson, Board of Trustees President Ralph Kunkel, Board of Trustees Vice President Brenda Sanders-Wise, and keynote speaker Damon West. The ceremony also featured performances from the multiple student groups.

The Richland, Haltom and Birdville High School show choirs, the Royal Heirs, Voice of Haltom and Singing Hawks, along with members of each high school's band, performed "We're All in This Together." Cheerleaders from each high school also performed, as well as the BISD elementary honor choir.
