Birdville ISD’s Administration Services Move to New Location
BACMoveIn

Nearly 150 Birdville ISD administration employees arrived at their new workplace on Monday, December 1, welcomed by the fanfare of the Birdville High School drumline and cheerleaders from Birdville, Haltom and Richland high schools. Even the BHS “Mo’ Hawk” mascot was on hand to greet staff as they opened a new chapter in a newly renovated location!

After 68 years in the previous location, the district’s administrative services have officially opened their doors at 8555 Airport Freeway in North Richland Hills. The former retail space has been renovated to bring nearly all of the administrative departments together, which will increase efficiencies and further strengthen support services for all BISD students, staff, and schools.

The new location — called the Birdville ISD Administrative Complex — is a one-stop shop for many departments and services including Accountability and Assessment, Business and Finance, Campus Support, Community Partnerships, Counseling Services, Curriculum and Instruction, Federal Programs, Human Resources, Specialized Services, and District Leadership.

“Stepping into this new space is the start of an exciting new chapter for Birdville ISD,” said Dr. Gayle Stinson, Superintendent of Schools. “For the first time in more than six decades, nearly every department is working together in the same building. This new space is not just an upgrade in brick and mortar – it is a true enhancement in the way we support our students, families and community.”

BISD has been at its original administration building in Haltom City since it was built in 1957. Many cherished memories and milestones were made in the previous building over the years, but the aging and outdated facility no longer provided the space, professional environment, or functionality needed to efficiently support the BISD schools and community.

The final phase of renovations at the Administrative Complex is underway on the portion of the building that will house the new Board Room. It is estimated to be several months before this is complete, so the regular meetings of the Birdville ISD Board of Trustees each month will continue to be held at the former location at 6125 E. Belknap Street, Haltom City, until further notice.

Parents, staff, and members of the community who have business with Birdville ISD are welcome to visit the renovated offices at the new location. Administration can still be reached at the main district phone number, 817-547-5700.
