These schools have demonstrated exceptional educational quality, earning their place among the best U.S. high schools at both the state and national levels.

The distinction of being among the best public high schools not only reflects their commitment to academic excellence, but also their dedication to nurturing students’ passions and guiding them toward their college and career aspirations. U.S. News thoroughly evaluated public schools across all 50 states and the District of Columbia for the 2025-2026 Best High Schools rankings, an exhaustive process encompassing more than 24,000 eligible schools.

To earn this designation, schools were ranked by combining their weighted scores across six indicators: school quality, including college readiness; college curriculum breadth; state assessment proficiency; state assessment performance; underserved student performance; and graduation rate. Birdville ISD is proud to have strong programs that support all six of these performance areas.
