A bit about the teacher -

    Faith in Yosemite

I grew up in the Fort Worth area and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, History, and Education from TCU in 1978. I completed the course work for a Masters of Teaching in the Humanities at UTA in 1985. Before finding a home at Haltom in the fall of 2000, I taught English at Everman Junior High, Joshua High, and Azle High. However, I deeply regret the years I was not a citizen of the proud Buffalo Nation.

I have four children, three of whom have attended Haltom. They are the only part of my life I love more than teaching.

In my nearly non-existent spare time, I love to watch the History Channel, movies of all types, and ice hockey. I sew; I read; I remodel houses; I ride motorcycles. I am a cat-whisperer. I could eat lethal amounts of Italian food, fresh spinach, ripe strawberries, Little Debbie oatmeal cream-filled cakes, and Jack-in-the-Box tacos.

I believe our young people can accomplish anything we believe they can. I will test that notion throughout the year. .
