BISD's mission is to provide for the safety, social, emotional, and academic needs of each child.

Birdville ISD is planning for the reopening of schools and looks forward to welcoming all students back on August 17. We miss seeing students and working with our colleagues. Based on what the District currently knows, we feel it is necessary to plan for multiple contingencies. As the District continues to plan, we can assure our families that we will adhere to required guidelines and consider all recommendations provided by a number of governing agencies including the Texas Education Agency (TEA), the University Interscholastic League (UIL), the Department of State Health Services (DSHS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Tarrant County Health Department.

Currently, the District is planning for two separate learning environments and additional choices within these options:

    • Face-to-Face Learning
    • Online Learning
