Donna Moore, Ed.D.
Assistant Principal-Haltom Middle School
This year, I enter into my 16th year as an educator, and I am honored to get the opportunity to serve as one of the three Assistant Principals for Haltom Middle School. Throughout my 16 years in education, I’ve served as an English Teacher, a girls Coach, a Literacy Specialist, a Special Programs Coordinator for Section 504 and RTI, and now as an Assistant Principal. I am blessed to be in a profession where I get to continuously learn and grow with each new school year. I believe myself to be a true blue educator and I have enjoyed each and every role I have held while shaping and preparing students to be life-long learners.
A little bit about my background: I started my career as a high school English teacher and girls coach at Castleberry High School. While I was finishing up my first Master's degree in Reading at Texas Wesleyan University, I taught junior and senior on-level and AP English. I moved onto L.D. Bell High School where I started my second Master's program in Educational Administration. During the 10 year stint I was at L.D. Bell High School, I taught on-level, AP, and IB English and Creative Writing. In 2009, I decided to return to school once more to get my Doctorate in Education: Curriculum Instruction and Leadership from The University of Phoenix. I truly believe I am a life-long learner and have dedicated my career to teaching kids and helping teachers be the best they can be in this wonderful profession of education. My husband and I live in Fort Worth where we have successfully raised five children ranging from ages 31 to 16, but now get to enjoy our one granddaughter, Lynn Allison who is three years old and our little piece of get-away paradise at our Ranch-Rockin M Ranch, in Wapanucka, Oklahoma.
As a campus leader for HMS, it is my goal and desire to support teachers in honing their craft as a teacher as well as assist with providing opportunities for students to be successful during the time they are here at Haltom Middle School and beyond.
Please do not hesitate to contact me via phone at 817-547-4016 and/or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need anything. I am so excited for my second year as an Assistant Principal, and to get to know the parents, the students, and the community of Haltom Middle School.
It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Tiger!
