Parents who have children with a health concern:

-- Please introduce yourself and your child to me and make sure you let your child's health concern be known to me.

-- If an Individualized Health Plan is indicated, doctor orders will need to be obtained and updated every school year.

-- Please also make sure contact numbers are updated with the office and myself.

    For all parents:

-- Make sure all immunizations are kept up to date. Please provide updated documentation to the Nurse.
-- Review hygiene tips to prevent the spread of infection. Daily baths/showers, consistently wash hands after restroom use, before eating, after playing. Brush teeth well after meals.
-- Establish a bedtime and wake-up time to ensure adequate, consistent sleep. Elementary school age children are recommended to get 10 hours of sleep. Create consistent morning and bedtime rituals.
-- Help make appropriate clothing choices (clean clothes, comfortable shoes, flip-flops are not recommended).
General health tips: drink plenty of water daily, eat breakfast every morning (our bodies and brains need fuel to perform at our best), eat your fruits and vegatables daily. Wash hands or use hand sanitizer when you blow your nose or cough/sneeze into your hand. Cover sneezes and coughs inside your elbow. Keep your wounds clean and covered.
If you have questions regarding anything health wise, I am here for you.
    Be well!
