Mr. Carlos Abad
Dear parents and students,
Welcome to our Spanish class at Richland High School! I am very excited about our year ahead. I anticipate a great year filled with explorations and accomplishments. It will be a year of learning and growth as students, teachers, and parents work together as a team to create the best possible experience for each student individually and our class as a whole. Our classroom community will be grounded in mutual respect, a comfortable environment that invites all questions, and a passion to make learning a life-long adventure.
Please allow me to introduce myself. I began pursuing a career in education right after high school. Previously, I taught Spanish at Texas Christian University as part of their Extended Education program. I have also worked as a substitute teacher in Fort Worth. I enjoy the thrill of facilitating students in their learning process. This is my fourth year at Richland High School! In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano with my band, cooking, and reading Spanish novels.
In the weeks and months ahead, we will experience Spanish hands-on, investigate its culture and history, and much more. Our class website will keep you and your child connected and informed about what’s going on in our classroom. It is a valuable tool that you should access on a regular basis during the school year. The best way to contact me is by email.
I look forward to a great year together!
For the love of learning,
