Hello Ram Nation!  This is my eleventh year in education and my second as an Assistant Principal at Richland Middle School.  It is my life's purpose to have a positive impact on the lives of the students I serve.  I am so thankful each morning I wake up and have the opportunity to fulfill that purpose.  There’s not another school on this planet I’d rather work at than Richland Middle School.

My wife and I currently have two children (our youngest will be born on September 28) and our other child is turning two on September 21.  I spend as much time as possible outside of work creating life long memories with my family and trying to enjoy each opportunity with them as if it were my last.

In my spare time I am an avid sports fan.  Basketball has been passion for as long as I can remember.  As a former player and coach I enjoy watching some of the world’s best athletes compete in the NBA.  My favorite sporting event in the whole world is NCAA tournament called March Madness.

Reading is another passion of mine.  There are few things in this world that I enjoy more than reading a good book.  I read nearly all my books on my iPhone using the Kindle app.  Currently, I am deeply engrossed in the high fantasy series, The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson.

Anytime I’m driving by myself I love to listen to podcasts.  I’ve laughed, cried, and learned a great deal of information from the podcasts I listen to in the car.  Some of my favorite podcasts are Malcom Gladwell’s Revisionist History, Tim Ferriss’s The Tim Ferris Show, Bill Simmons’s The Bill Simmons Podcast, and Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History.

As a graduate of the University of Texas in Austin, I am an avid Longhorns fan.  Anytime there’s a UT football game or basketball game on TV I try to watch.  I also make it a point to visit Austin at least once a year with my wife to enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds the city has to offer.  Go Longhorns!
