Secondary Digital Learning Specialist
Rashel Larson is entering her 16th year in education. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Texas Woman’s University and a Masters Degree in Computer Education and Cognitive Systems from The University of North Texas. Upon completion of her Masters Degree she obtained her Texas Master Technology Teacher Certification. Rashel started her career in Alvord ISD where she worked for 8 years teaching secondary Computer Science, Animation, Technology Systems and served as the district’s Technology Director. In 2008 Rashel moved to HEB ISD where she taught another 7 years, secondary Web Design and Information Technology in a Global Society as part of the International Baccalaureate program. This year she joins BISD in a new role as Secondary Digital Learning Specialist.
Rashel is excited to be a part of the explosive digital growth in education today and is passionate about empowering educators and engaging students. As a Secondary Digital Learning Specialist, she believes that making teacher professional development a priority, is the key to delivering curricula in a way that engages and allows the 21st century learner to excel beyond our expectations. She is enthusiastic about the digital movement happening in BISD and proud to be a part of the change.
