• There isn’t anything I can truly say here that can express how excited I am to help teach your student this year, so I will say this: I AM EXCITED. I love my profession, and I truly do love working with families to ensure each student gets the education they deserve.

As a parent, I am always curious as to who will be educating the mind of my child. I want to know their background, their education, and their beliefs as it pertains to their profession, so, that’s what I will tell you here.

I am a born and raised Texan. I went to school through BISD schools my entire life, and have taught at RMS for my entire career. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, and I am currently working on a double major at DBU for Administrative Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction.

I run an educator podcast called Teach Me, Teacher, which is listened to in over 66 countries monthly. I have interviewed some of the top minds in education, including the author of The Book Whisperer, Donalyn Miller, Penny Kittle, Jeff Anderson, and local minds such as Dr. Clark of BISD, to help teachers develop their craft and inspire a new generation of teachers that go above and beyond in the classroom.

I believe that every student has something valuable to bring to the classroom.

I believe that every student has the ability to become a strong reader.

I believe that every student can overcome any obstacle.

I believe that every student can become a strong and humble leader.

(I didn’t mean for that to rhyme.)

If you have any questions at all for me, my email and phone line is always open. I try to be as open as possible with every parent and student.
