Birdville ISD Partners in Education Advisory Committee

The Partners in Education program has community support through its Partners in Education Advisory Committee. This committee is made up of community leaders, staff, parents, and business professionals. The purpose of the PIE Advisory Committee is to encourage business and community involvement in schools to prepare our students for the future by promoting partnerships between Birdville ISD, businesses, churches, and organizations

PTA's Purpose

• To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship;

• To raise the standards of home life;
• To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth;
• To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth;
• To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.

Birdville ISD Senior Stars Program

The Senior Stars program is an initiative to honor all of our supporters in the district who are age 65 or older. The District strives to create and foster an environment where all stakeholders are engaged and actively involved in the work we do for children.

Senior Stars Members receive:

• Free Platinum Advantage Card good for free admission to district-sponsored athletic and fine arts events

• Information about upcoming district events

Weekend Backpack Program

The Weekend Backpack program provides a weekend supply of nutritious food for children in need, to replace the school meals that children miss during their weekend or extended breaks from school. Campus staff identify the children to receive the food bags and distributes them on Fridays. All food is provided to children free of charge. Volunteers shop for groceries and pack the food bags each week, either onsite or at a central location.
