About Us
Welcome to Birdville Independent School District’s Career and Technical Education & CCMR program
Birdville Independent School District’s Career and Technical Education program is nationally recognized. We credit this success to strong support by BISD’s Board of Trustees and Superintendent in providing resources necessary for quality programs for BISD students. “Career and Technology Education embraces quality instructional partnerships with business and industry to successfully prepare students to position themselves for the challenges of post-secondary education and to excel with integrity in a globally competitive workplace.”
We embrace an attitude of continuous improvement by keeping abreast of current trends in business and industry. It is through the involvement and teamwork among members of the BISD family, parents, and our business and post-secondary partners that we are able to provide relevant “real world” experiences coupled with high academic standards that greatly enhance our students’ future successes. We are also excited about the partnerships with business and industry that give students a chance to spend time in practicum programs as paid or unpaid interns. BISD Career and Technical Education is a great way for students to prepare for the highly technological and competitive workplace of the 21st Century.

College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) at Birdville ISD
At Birdville ISD, we are committed to preparing our students for success beyond high school, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to thrive in college, career, or military pathways. Our CCMR initiatives are designed to offer students a comprehensive education that fosters academic achievement, career exploration, and personal development.
Key components of CCMR at Birdville ISD include:
-
College Readiness: We offer a range of Advanced Placement (AP) courses, dual credit opportunities, and college readiness programs to ensure our students are prepared for the academic demands of higher education. We also provide support with college applications, scholarships, and financial aid guidance.
-
Career Readiness: Through career and technical education (CTE) programs, students can explore various industries and gain practical skills through hands-on learning experiences, internships, and industry certifications. These programs empower students to make informed career choices and enter the workforce with confidence.
-
Military Readiness: For students interested in serving our country, we offer resources and support through ROTC programs, ASVAB testing, and military recruiters to guide them through the enlistment process and ensure they are prepared for a future in the armed forces.
At Birdville ISD, our goal is to provide every student with the tools they need to achieve their dreams, whether it’s pursuing higher education, starting a rewarding career, or serving in the military. Programs of Study
Our Programs of Study empower students to immerse themselves in their field of interest through hands-on learning, field-based experiences, and internships. Academies, which are open to incoming 9th-graders, require four years to complete. Birdville ISD CTE's other Programs of Study offer a more flexible completion schedule.
The ideal student for Academies has a strong interest and willingness to commit themselves to being immersed into four years of intense learning experiences, within unique industry standard facilities. Academies and Programs of Study allow experiences to occur for the RIGHT student, for the RIGHT reason, in the RIGHT program.
