If you are interested, a few links to places that may have appointments are provided below. (Please note, this is not an exhaustive list. We encourage you to search online for other options at your leisure.)

     Tarrant County Public Health

    Helpful hints:

If asked, indicate that you are a teacher/EA/education custodial staff or support.

    1. List “Birdville ISD” as your employer if asked.
    2. Use your school email address, if possible, to ensure they can verify you are a District employee.

    Texas Public health Vaccine Scheduler

The new Texas Public Health Vaccine Scheduler helps Texans get scheduled for a COVID-19 vaccine at clinics hosted by participating Texas public health entities.

For help scheduling a COVID-19 vaccine in your area, you can sign up with the new Texas Public Health Vaccine Scheduler in one of two ways:

    • Call (833) 832-7067 any day of the week, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    • OR, if you have internet access, sign up at GetTheVaccine.dshs.texas.gov Once registered, you’ll be notified by email or text when and where to get the vaccine.

If there’s not an available clinic near you, you’ll be directed to other places to get your vaccine.

You also still have the option to check with a community vaccine provider. This can be your local health authority, designated vaccine hubs, or retail pharmacies like HEB, CVS and Walgreens.

The Texas Department of State Health Services has an interactive provider hub map where you can check for information about these types of providers. They’ll each have their own type of registration, so be sure to check on that process if you identify a location you’d like to use.

All Texas adults 16 years and older are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

To learn more, you can visit TRS’ COVID-19 vaccine information webpage or the Texas Department of State Health Services vaccination home page.

Retirement Plans (403b and 457) and the CARES Act

You may be aware that Congress has passed the Coronavirus, Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act with provisions to positively impact retirement plan participants, including your ability to make plan withdrawals. TCG, the 403(b) and 457 Plan Administrator for Birdville ISD, created a reference document related to the main provisions that impact your retirement plan. Click here for the reference document.

TCG would like to offer assistance with questions about the CARES Act. They have created a special email address inbox for this purpose monitored by a team of senior staff members with a thorough understanding of the CARES Act. Please send an email to caresact@tcgservices.com with your concerns and they will address them.

TCG has also created a COVID19 Resource Hub with important information for plan participants.

Finally, they are continuing to expand their TeleWealth Virtual Consultation program to accommodate more appointments as your financial questions arise. Clicking on the link will allow you to schedule a virtual visit with the district's local representative. All services are provided at no cost.
