Coach Gibson began her drill team career as a member of the L.D. Bell Raiderettes, serving as Lieutenant her senior year. Coach Gibson, her mother and her grandmother are the only three generation Raiderettes in the organization's history. After high school, she pursued her lifelong dream of attending The University of Texas at Austin where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Education with a minor in Curriculum and Instruction. While at UT, she was a member of the Texas Sweethearts spirit group and served as Technician and Choreography Consultant for the Canyon Lake High School Dance Department where she had the privilege of working closely with the Emerald Dancers dance team as well as the co-ed Varsity and JV ballroom teams. Currently, Annie is in her fourth year of teaching and is the Assistant Dance Director at Haltom working alongside Dieca W. Jones. Together, they direct the Varsity and JV Highsteppers, New Image Crew and Dance I-IV. Coach Gibson is very passionate about her work and takes great pride in training well-rounded dancers. She strives to develop strong leaders while fostering the pride and tradition of the Haltom Dance Department.
