•  All students must be immunized against certain diseases or must present a statement for medical/religious exemption.  The State of Texas immunizations required are diphtheria/tetanus, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Varicella. All immunizations must be current when enrolling your student in school and must remain current throughout the school year. The following vaccines are required for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. 

     

     

    6th Graders

    DTaP: Five (5) doses are required (5th dose not required if 4th dose given after 4th birthday) 

    Polio: Four (4) doses are required (4th dose not required if 3rd dose given after 4th birthday)

    HIB:  Not required

    Hepatitis B: Three (3) doses are required

    Hepatitis A : Two (2) doses are required (first dose cannot be before 1st birthday)

    PCV (Pneumococcal conjugate): not required.

    MMR: Two (2) doses are required (first dose cannot be before 1st birthday)

    Varicella (chicken pox): Two (2) doses are required or verification of illness may replace vaccine.

     

     

    7th and 8th Graders

    DTaP:  Three (3) primary doses are required

    7th: one (1) Tdap/Td within the last 5 years

    8th: one (1) Tdap/Td within the last 10 years

    Polio: Four (4) doses are required (4th dose is not required if 3rd dose given after 4th birthday)

    HIB: Not required

    Hepatitis B: Three (3) doses are required

    Hepatitis A: Two (2) doses are required (first dose cannot be before 1st birthday)

    PCV (Pneumococcal conjugate): Not required.

    MMR: Two (2) doses are required (first dose cannot be before 1st birthday)
