Katie Norsworthy (Perdue)

Katie Perdue began her drill team career as a member of the Coppell High School Lariette Drill Team.  Katie attended the University of Texas where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Studies as apart of the inaugural cohort of the Dance Studies program.  While at UT, Katie was a co-director and choreographer for the Roustabouts Dance Company.  She was a finale performer at the American College Dance Festival and choreographed for the European Tanzommer touring performance group.She was a performer in the 2015 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and continues to choreograph for groups such as the Kilgore College Rangerettes and the WNBA Wings' Flight Crew. 

Katie became the Assistant Dance Director at Birdville in 2015. Through her time at Birdville, she assisted coaching three teams through the USASF Dance Worlds to a spot in the finals. She also coached the JV Belles to the first JV National Championship and NXT LVL to the first Co-Ed National Championship in Birdville history as well as assisted coaching Golden Motion to 4 straight National Championships. In addition, Katie helps the continued success of the Birdville Dance Department with 4 years of straight ones at the Dance Educators Assessment of Learning. 

Katie is a staff member for Marching Auxiliaries Dance where she teaches summer camps and works contests nation wide. She actively participates in the Texas Dance Educators Association (TDEA). Katie chaired the registration committee for the 2018 and 2019 TDEA state convention and chaired the exhibitor committee for the 2020 convention.
