Please help us to provide a healthy and safe environment for all students by observing the following:
    Do not send your child to school if any of these symptoms or signs are present in the previous 24 hours:

    ¨      Elevated temperature – 100° or greater

    ¨      Vomiting, nausea, or severe abdominal pain

    ¨      Repeated diarrhea

    ¨      Anything other than clear discharge from the nose or eyes resulting from contagious condition

    ¨      Red, inflamed, or discharging eyes (conjunctivitis)

    ¨      Suspected scabies, impetigo, acute skin rashes, eruptions, any skin lesion in the weeping stage

    ¨      Head lice


    For the protection of all students, any student who is suspected of having a communicable disease

    will be excluded from school until adequately treated. Students found to be infested with

    head lice will be sent home and may not return to class until adequately treated and rechecked by the

    school nurse. Students absent longer than 48 hours for head lice infestation will be considered truant.Nurse

    Please keep your child home if he/she has a fever greater than 100, vomiting, or has diarrhea.  BISD's policy states children may return to school when they have been free from fever (without the use of Motrin or Tylenol), vomiting, and/or diarrhea for 24 hours.  Please call me when your child has a diagnosis from a physician of something infectious such as flu, strep throat, chicken pox, or staph infection.
