• Medication   Medication
Parents must provide medication and a medication permit requesting it be given.  Medications must be in the original container and directions for over-the-counter medications will be strictly adhered to.  If a medication is to be given for more than 10 days, a doctor's signature is required.  Prescription medication must also be in the original container with a prescription label.  This includes inhalers.  BISD  does not allow the administration of dietary supplements or nutritional aids not approved as medication by the FDA.  Left over medication must be destroyed at the end of every year.  Please see the nurse if you have questions.
Students are not allowed to carry medication in school unless it is an emergency med (Inhaler or Epi) which has been signed off by the doctor and the nurse observes student demonstrating proper use of med.
