    Benefit Reminders
     
     
    **MUST Re-elect FSA every year**
     
    Flexible Spending Account plan year is September 1st through August 31st

     
    Health Care Expenses - FSA
    (Section 125 Cafeteria Plan)
    The maximum annual election for Health Care expenses is $2500.
     
     

    Dependent Care Expenses - FSA
    (Section 125 Cafeteria Plan)
    The maximum annual election for dependent care is $5,000 per household.

     

    Health Savings Account - HSA
    - Must be enrolled in the High Deductible medical plan (AC 1HD)
    - Funds contributed never expire (not use it or lose it)
     
     
    Making Changes During Plan Year
    Changes in benefit elections can occur only if you experience a qualifying event. You must notify the Benefits office within 30 days of the event date. This applies to the summer months as well.
     
     
    Sick Leave Bank
    -Bank days cannot be used for maternity leave
    -Bank days cannot be used for family illness
    -The employee must miss five (5) consecutive days
    -All leave days, including vacation days, must be exhausted

    Cancer Plan - REWARD!
    If you are enrolled in the Cancer plan, there is a one time annual reward of $50 for pre-cancerous test, i.e., colonoscopy, well women exam, etc.
    Complete form and submit to American Public life.
