For those who do not know me, I will tell you a little about myself. I attended BISD myself as a student.  I went to Holiday Heights from second through sixth grade, attended Smithfield Middle School and am graduated from Richland High School.  I enjoy going to athletic events and watching my former students in athletics, band, cheer and perform in fine arts.   I attended the University of North Texas.  At North Texas I received both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.  I am starting my twenty-seventh year in education, and this will be my first year here at Richland as Principal.  I spent two years of my career in Lake Dallas ISD, but the majority of my career has been spent serving the students in Birdville ISD as an educator.  The last three years I served as the assistant principal at Hardeman Elementary in Watauga.

I love to spend my free time with my family.  I have one daughter, Darian and she is also a graduate of Richland High School. I have two stepsons, Darrell and Wesley.  I also have six grandchildren, five boys and one girl ranging from a three year old to a fifth grader. I enjoy reading mysteries, crafting, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors. My favorite hobbies include taking pictures and scrapbooking.   Come by my office sometime and ask to see a scrapbook of my former students!  I have one cat named Sally and a dog named Roxie.  I told you that I love to travel.  I have had the privilege of traveling to Alaska and visited a husky encampment.  I even got the opportunity to ride on a sled led by huskies! A couple of summers ago I vacationed at Yellowstone and went to visit Mount Rushmore.  I have had the pleasure of visiting many interesting places and have got to see the most amazing landforms and historic monuments!

I am excited about becoming a Richland Rocket and look forward to forming many lasting relationships here. I know that this is going to be a great school year!
