Welcome to Athletics

The Birdville Independent School District, led by Superintendent Dr. Darrell Brown, believes that athletics is an avenue by which young minds and bodies gain great benefit. The Birdville Independent School District's secondary schools are members of the University Interscholastic League (UIL), the governing body of athletics in Texas. Eligibility requirements for participation must be met as set by the UIL. The Birdville Independent School District competes at the 5A level in numerous sports with Haltom and Richland High Schools and at the 4A level with Birdville High School. Seven middle schools also participate in numerous sports offered by Birdville Independent School District.

The BISD Athletics Hall of Honor will take place at the Birdville Fine Arts Athletics Complex on December 8, 2011 at 6:30. Tickets for the event may be purchased at the Wiley G. Thomas Coliseum or the Birdville Fine Arts Athletics Complex. The cost for the banquet is $20. For more information, please call the athletic office at 817-547-5820.
