Quentin S. Burnett joined BISD as Associate Superintendent for Finance in July 2002. The finance area includes business operations and services, Accounting, Payroll, Athletics, Buildings and Grounds, Transportation, and Child Nutrition. Burnett also serves as secretary-treasurer of BISD's Foundation for Educational Excellence (FEE).

Burnett served more than 15 years as superintendent in three different school districts (Argyle 1998-2002, Greenwood 1990-1998, and Johnson City 1986-1989) before joining BISD. From 1989 to 1990, he served as an executive assistant with the Texas Education Agency, and prior to that, seven years as a campus administrator including three years as a high school principal.

He earned his bachelor's in English, math and history from Texas A&M University at Commerce; master's degrees in education administration from Texas A&M University at Commerce; and doctorate degree in educational administration from the University of Texas in Austin. He is a member and past president of Texas Association of School Administrators. In 1994, Burnett was named Texas Association of School Board's Region 18 Superintendent of the Year.
